A 30" diagonal widescreen equals what width and height?

I think I lost some of my math skills. I know the formula a(squared) plus b(squared)equals c(squared)And the aspect ratio is 16X9. I need some math help.

Well, first you work it out for 16" x 9" which gives a diagonal of 18.357". Then you use proportion so the height will be 9" x (30/18.357) or 14.7" and the width will be 16" x (30/18.357) or 26.15".

Easy.
