Today you will buy a far superior 42� Plasma TV for about one third of what you paid a few years back.

I prefer Plasma but others here prefer LCD. For viewing in a brightly lit room (apparently lots of people don�t have curtains/drapes that block the light out) LCD screens are usually better because there is less ambient light reflection.

IMHO the type/size of screen people view is a very personal choice.

hi Sox,

Yes I had waited for a few years for the price to drop from more then US$ 10k down and it was still too early!
My complain to this plasma is the heat and the turned on time as uncle Stu pointed out. Also the audio is not great. I am thinking of getting 32"-37" LCD low heat TV in my smaller family room. I watch them for quite a long time as I use them to follow financial news as well...
