were identical video encodes for both formats. Either he didn't realize this or didn't bother to mention the possible implications. And I'd like to see what 5 (or 9) hours look like squeezed on an HD DVD (or Blu-Ray) disc. He poo-poos audio but I suspect the differences between the two (2) formats will eventually tell when music artists start to release high def video/audio products. OTOH, most people won't give two hoots about the subtleties.
