I built a pair of subs using the coffin as a model.
I built them as 2 seperate cabinets using Peerless 85486 drivers.
10".
Using the BassZone test cd I could play 10hz to 85dbs.
When testing the subs I had to remove from the garage wall behind the subs because they would vibrate so badly. Thats almost 5' behind the subs firing direction. Pictures and objects on tables need to be removed or secured.
Our daughter would have to leave the house because she could not stand the
pressure waves. They made her sick. BTW she was downstairs in the basement!
Now I have transmission lines subs of a smaller size and power.
But their better in bass pitch.
