I really hadn't considered using a PS3 as a BD player since I don't do video games, but, from what I've read, it seems that it's the most problem-free (or issue-free) player out there. I know absolutely nothing about video game units, so bear with me here. Does it function like a 'regular' player in all respects? How's the upscaling of standard DVDs? How's the loading speed? Does it have an HDMI output? Does it have 2-channel analog outputs?
Thanks again,
Russell
Follow Ups:
I found (just about) all the info I needed in a review of the PS3 on the web page below. However, if you (or others) would like to comment on using the PS3 as a BD player, please let me know. (I'm still not sure I'd want a gaming console for a BD player, though...)
Russell
Its $500 list, cheaper on line.
