not hooked up to the internet. Heck, someone was ragging on me about having to perform internet downloads and firmware upgrades on an A/V product I just bought (this was a bit of kludge without a router). Guess times change.
If I wanted to read up on "Transformers" and "Heroes", I can always surf the net on the computer. Burning up DLP lamp life waiting for an internet connection doesn't fit my idea of a movie watching experience.
Follow Ups:
I did it once to update my Sammy, and that required that I unhook my computer, and hook up a 25' cable across my dining room and living room to my player. Its a major PITA, and certainly not worth it for me. I heard the extras were kind of interesting, and AFAIK, not available via computer.
I'm just surprised at the numbers-I didn't think nearly that many would have bothered.

I didn't have "ideal" cabling having to stretch the power cords, phone lines, and ethernet cabling, and barely had enough length to hook up the player's composite video to my (ancient) CRT TV. I couldn't read any of the fine print and pretty much guessed which options to select. Thankfully it worked out [Turns out the menu maintenance page "blurry" font was nearly as bad with an HDMI feed]
