That will likely fix the problem you're having.
You'll need to download the firmware update from Sony's website and burn it to a DVD. If you don't own a DVD burner, you should get one, because this isn't a one-time thing. In the meantime, you can order an update DVD from Sony. Instructions are linked to the firmware download page.

Unfortunately I do not own a DVD burner at this time. Could you please give me the contact information to contact Sony so I can obtain a update DVD?
I should note that other than this one issue I have been very satisfied with my Sony and the video and audio of Blue Ray discs is outstanding in my opinion.
Go to the Sony.com website, click on support, put in your model number. Go to "Software/Drivers" and follow the instructions. As I said previously, the link to information on how to order the update is there. That's how you need to get to it.
