I've tried a small handful of DVDs with my 95FD and didn't experience this problem until last night, when the menu screen on one disc was unresponsive to the commends from the remote. I thought it was just a fluke until I saw your post just now. I'll post a message about this issue on the AVS Forum, where there's a dedicated 95FD thread (and where a Pioneer rep contributes). We'll see if others have experienced this as well. I haven't encountered this problem with any BDs.
BTW, I've just updated the firmware to 3.20 (released 12/26).

Follow Ups:
I was able to get the remote to work on the dvds that were unresponsive by just unplugging the AC cable, waiting 2 minutes, and plugging it back in.
The problem DVD was a classical concert disc on the Arthaus Musik label. I tried 3 others on the same label and they all had the same unresponsive menus. I tried more concert DVDs from various other labels--BBC Opus Arte, TDK, Euroarts, Philips, DG, Decca--and they were all fine, so I now suspect that the menu authoring on those (oldish) Arthaus Musik DVDs was somehow peculiar--at least enough to trip up the 95FD.
