Hello,
I have a 4 mo. old BenQ PE8720 and although the picture is very good, I was wondering if a setup is in order. There is a local fellow who charges $500 to come in and go through the setup and will come back if need be for no charge. Seems as though he should simonize both my cars for that amount. I would like to do this myself if possible with the proper DVD and instructions. I am pretty handy with all things electronic/electrical....a retired EE actually. What are your recommendations? My FP has a very good pic with thru comp. video but not that great with HDMI and I know for sure it's a setup problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hi there
If this "local fellow" is a certified ISF tech, then the price is about right for a calibration. If he's also familiar with your PJ, then even better. If your installation is not finished (PJ mounted, screen installed), then you'd be wasting your money.
"I am ....a retired ..."
Figures, after using a term like "simonize".

Why would poor PQ through the HDMI port be a setup issue?
Regards
