Good (in no particular order) * indicates that I've only seen it on HD DVD and assume Blu-Ray is essentially identical in quality.
Planet Earth*
Galapagos*
Blade Runner*
2001*
Ratatouille
Corpse Bride*
The Simpsons Movie
Tekkon Kinkreet
Paprika
The Last Waltz
So far I'm finding that if it's a hyper-real look you're after, generally computer-generated features and ones originally shot on video will look more spectacular than ones shot on film then transferred to video, but there are happy exceptions.
But in general, I don't mind letting film look like film, and what I'm mostly interested in, particularly with older movies, is being able to enjoy them as if they were made yesterday, not decades ago. The Last Waltz isn't hyper-real; it's something else, it's like seeing a perfect print of the movie when it was still brand-new.
