I have a Sony BDP-S1 blue ray player and a Yamaha 7.1 surround reciever that puts out 130 watts per channel, when playing music concert DVD's the system sounds fairly strained.
Have any of you ever tried using 5 mono block amps with the addition of one powered sub woofer?
This seems like it would be the way to go, I think something like the Adcom 565 300 watt mono amps could be found fairly afordable on the used market
Follow Ups:
there are plenty of multichannel single-chassis amps around.
Baba-Booey to you all!
or close to it. The MKII and everything after was doodie water.
