Just been to PC World in the UK and noticed a Pioneer external "Blu-Ray Disc Player DVD/CD writer", model number BDC-202BK.
Was wondering what the quality would be like if I connected it up to my 42" Panasonic screen with an 8m HDMI from the PC which has a HDMI output.
The price of £90 seems quite reasonable when considering it is also a DVD/CD burner, and it might be a stop-gap option for those of us who aren't prepared to spend megabucks on a dedicated player (or a PS3) yet.
I am of course assuming I can connect to my plasma, and that I will get both video and audio via HDMI?
Best Regards,

Try the site out below for answers. It's the best I have found for CD/DVD/BluRay drives for PC and as an added bonus the way the site works and does everything is also the best that I've used.
Will do - cheers for the link.
What I've just read doesn't look promising however as every BluRay/HD-DVD drive I've read about is described as being a great way to get HD replay on your PC monitor - no mention of connecting to an external screen via HDMI.
