We have yet to hear back from inmate artemus but I suspect when he called Pioneer service surely the service people will have questioned the placement of the set etc?

However, if a set has a fault after 2 or 3 days I wouldn�t want it and would demand a replacement OR my money back. Oh, it is quite possible the board it is on or the thermal protection switch itself is faulty.
