I think this thread has gotten a little jumbled.
We were talking about BD players, and whether or not they would play multiple regions of DVDs, not to mention PAL->NTSC. As a side note, BDs do not have PAL or NTSC coding.
It is assumed, they the eventual Oppo BD player will be region free for DVds as well as convert PAL->NTSC, though I suspect it will have to have the BD region coding.

  Still not PAL to NTSC, but its definitely a step in the right direction.
