Set up a "saved search" on eBay for similar sets within driving distance. I suspect the horrendous shipping costs will dissuade many potential buyers, so prices shouldn't go to high. Plus, the seller has probably got some newfangled flatscreen set and just wants the old behemoth gone. There's also Craigslist, and other local classifieds. Maybe place a "wanted" ad too, or ask local A/V dealers about any tradeins.
