Keep in mind that these Blu-ray players will output the frame rate for the region that the disc was intended for (ie, 60Hz, 50Hz). If you don't have a multi-system display, you can't use them.

I had my iPod hooked up to my Sharp TV one day and for grins, I switched it's video output to PAL, and to my surprise, it worked perfectly!
Sony SXRD: these players don't convert 50Hz to 60Hz.
My plasma accepts just about all video systems from the known world (NTSC, PAL, SECAM and even that "M" thingy).
