If you are asking about displays currently being produced the Pioneer Kuro Elite sets and Signature series are the best. Panasonics are very good but not as good as the Kuros, at least not until 2009. FED and SED technologies are coming but probably not until 2010 and if they get the problems worked out there's OLED but the larger sizes wouldn't be until 2010 or even 2011.
