I bought the Sony SXRD because it looked better than any LCD set, and was VERY close to the Pioneer Elite plasma but 1/2 the price. The Sony XBR widescreen CRT was better only in the black level, but at more than 200lbs for a 34" screen I wanted no part of it.

The weight issue isn't bad if you put casters on the bottom of the stand. - GTF 05:49:54 11/26/08 (0)
That way it's easy to move the KV34-XBR910 or 970 anywhere you need it.
With 14 2" ball casters on the bottom it easily rolls on carpet.
