Thanks for the info. Never thought about adding a couple of high sensitivity speakers. So running the system in mono changes the frequencies , allowing them to hear better? Interesting. How about a short list of hight sensitivity speakers which might work. Nothing too expensive though.

Mono doesn't change the frequencies per se... it groups all sounds equally into both speakers, including the frequency extremes, yes.
So to exagerate matters; there may be bass only from the left speaker and highs only from the right (in stereo) which could potentially make things harder to hear clearly. If both speakers played the same frequencies/sounds I feel it would make things easier to understand.
Try the high sens forumn for some speaker ideas, as I lean towards exactly the opposite type (planars, etc). Perhaps Klipsch, Cerwin Vega, etc.?
