I find most art boring as the fuck. That doesn't mean I don't or can't appreciate it, but sometimes I just want to be entertained and taken on a thrill ride. Movies like this "do it" for me and many others. Waste of time? That's your opinion and it's no better or worse than mine or that of anyone else (same goes for my "boring" comment). If it's not your cup of tea, so be it. The comment I posted is in reference to the artsy-fartsy crowd, most of whom think their shit don't stink.

That's news to Paul Greengrass and the studio.
Some "art" movies aren't art at all, they really are boring. But the good ones are as thrilling as any action flick.
The whole of commercial cinema hardly divides only between mindless, loud, action flicks and somber, glacial treatises on the human condition. There are good, better and bad movies of all types.
Since I seem to have struck a nerve with someone whom I've always regarded as a friendly presence and ally here, that's all I have to say and I'm off to the movies - to see Coraline in fact. At least the BD medium is showing what a nice HT systme is capable of...whatver floats youe boat.
Bourne? When did I mention Jason? Or are you referring to someone else?
Maybe it is better we both watch a movie instead of argue over this issue. I piss off enough people without adding to the count. :-)
