OK I'm confused. Is the 141 really ISF'D from the factory or is it just tweaked? At other forums they are saying for optimum performance that it should be ISF'D. Now I'm hoping someone who really nows will set all of us straight. We're listening!
Thanks,
Chris

Pioneer says it is. If it's not, I doubt it would be worth buying for most people for its ability to handle some less-common video signal formats. Maybe if you had some special computer app. And unless you could get it for somewhat less than the 151.People who are picky would probably redo the ISF cal anyway. I really think you have to run the display for a fair time before you do the cal, and I don't know if they do that at the factory.
Using the "Pure" mode with some minor adjustments is pretty good after a few hundred hours. Many people will find this even too "strange" compared to what they're used to seeing. Many other Elite owners I know still prefer one of the "torch" modes, like Sport etc. ISF cal is definitely not for everybody, not for those who chose a Pio because it could do big bright colors rather than because of its accuracy potential.
It should be noted that an ISF mode-enabled Elite has access to facilities that are not duplicable any other way. You can NOT get the same results without using one of the ISF viewing modes. But you can get quite close. Each mode (pure, optimum, sport, etc.) enables/disables certain electronic aspects which can't be had any other way. The ISF modes do the same.
edit: I guess I should have said you can get software to enable and adjust the ISF modes via the serial/"service" port quite inexpensively. Without actually doing the ISF cal.
