I just went from a 5th Gen Pionner plasma to a Samsung LCD and the difference is stunning. I loved the Pioneer but it's amazing how LCDs have improved in four years. The biggest improvements were contrast and black level. The Pioneer did a poor job with blacks and grey scale in general compared to the Samsung.

None of the LCDs that I viewed recently were "perfect" in terms of viewing angle but much improved from what I remember even a couple years ago.
When I move slightly off axis from center with any LCD, I notice a slight change in color. Some LCDs are worse than others in this regard but I don't see this phenomenon at all with plasma.
How is your Samsung LCD color as you move slightly left or right of center? This is more noticeable in a relatively static screen like a newscaster or other talking head as you view the skin tone.
