It's psychologically tough for many to do. Even when it's an insignificant amount in that size range.
The thing about most (all?) Panasonics is they cannot be put at their best by the typical user. Same with Pioneers, though they are said to usually be very accurate right out of the box (least the original 9Gs were). Now Samsungs...this is why calibrators seem to love them. Of the better common/consumer plasmas, only Samsungs allow the color etc. to be adjusted essentially perfect, by someone who has the gear to do it: they are properly designed for this, unlike the Pannys and Pios. But it's not all about color accuracy, I think that's only the third most important thing on the list for great piccy perception. Blacks/contrast are number one, and you have to watch in the correct environment to appreciate it, which means not the typical showroom.

But the 55" was WAY smaller than my 60", I mean Waaayy smaller. 58" looks to be a tolerable down-size, but I could not have handled 55".
Perhaps I'll score a 65" plasma before plasmas disappear the way of projection TV's.
