Loving my new BD Player.....

Santa delivered a BD player to my house on X-mas. I ended up getting a PS3 Slim....

Wow,, even upscale my dvd's to looking great... Plus I have been playing Uncharted 2... talk about a immersible game... It is like being in a movie almost.

I do not have surround sound, yet....

The only issue I have with the PS3 is the heat, it is not much , but it seems to get a little warm when I watch/play for a while.

My older fatboy PS2 lasted 7+ years with out a hitch. I went through 5 RROD issues when I had a Xbox 360... will never buy another MS console again...

Again, I feel like the PS3 is a great deal. I can watch movies, play games, sacd's & stream content..

Yes, I have found the PS3 to be a very good blu-ray and DVD player, which is what I primarily use it for (my grandson plays games on it). I expect to get an Oppo when I can afford it, but no hurry really. Netflix has a free disk for it, for streaming Netflix videos, and it works great. The main issue for me was the bluetooth remote didn't integrate well with my RF/IR master remote, but I was able to find a USB IR adapter that makes it work.
