I bought the LG 390 a few weeks ago and I'm very pleased. It streams Netflix, Vudu and Youtube and I use it far more for that than for watching blurays.
I paid $300 for it but I saw it at Best Buy this week for $260.

Thanks. Is the digital output (optical or coax) of the LG BD390 capable of at least 5.1? I've heard that some players downmix to 2.0.
I have been considering the LG BD370. It's hard to find good information on electronics these days... everything is summarized, simplifed, or homogenized. "Wrong" is also commonly observed...
"Thanks. Is the digital output (optical or coax) of the LG BD390 capable of at least 5.1? I've heard that some players downmix to 2.0."I really don't know, I just run the HDMI into my TV and then run the stereo RCA audio outs of the TV to a 2-channel stereo reciever. I set the player to output PCM 2 channel but it will output all sorts of other things; 7.1, 5.1, DD, DTS, DTS-HD, DDTHD and so forth.
If you go to LG's website you can look at the player's manual and figure out what it does. The player outputs audio from HDMI, analog 2 channel RCA outs, coaxial and optical digital outs and 7.1 analog outs. It seems to be pretty flexible.
