I don't use cable and was receiving my standard basket of local HD before one channel and it's two child channels disappeared. I have rescanned a half dozen times using 'standard', 'digital', and 'auto' and still can't pick them back up.
I checked their website and they are not reporting any transmission problems. So, any suggestions?
Do those of you using antennae only set it for 'digital' only when scanning?
TIA.

If you are using an antenna, you are subject to flukes of weather caused reception problems. Another possibility, is that the channel just screwed up transmissions, and doesn't know it. This happens more often than one would think. Go to the HDTV section of AVSforum.com and see if others in your area have the same problem. Pros sometimes post there, and they may be able to tell you what's going on.

mine has cable too so I never scanned it because I only have free tv.I scanned it & got a few extra channels. I have a recorder and saw the rifleman that I could not find the channel on the recorder. so I rescanned both the tv & recorder with the cable- digital-& analog.Im not sure were the channel was but it recorded. cable is seperate from the analog digital on my tv.those few were analog channels on cable so I dont know why they worked
