What Panasonic plasma model are you using right now? What exact input are you using on the Panasonic?

Thanks guys for your reply
The 10 year old Panasonic plasma is a Th50PHW5. it is a multi standard set input up to 1080i & 24p or so it proclaims on the label.
Oppo sent me a firm ware update which I installed meant to make the HDCP handshake more liberal. Installed it made no difference to the connection with the HD Fury 2..
Discovered one thing and that is; if you put a DVD in, either NTSC or PAL and play it, over the component connection it works and one can access the menue while the disc is playing but as soon as you stop the disc all access is gone and there is no logo on the screen. Push play and the picture comes back. Same thing happens with a blu-ray. Rather strange that while the disc is in play mode the signal is being passed to the old Panasonic from the 93 Oppo. But not when disc stopped.
But the 93 Oppo on our Samsung LCD or put another DVD player on the Panasonic every thing is normal.
Your help sure is appreciated
Thanks.
Winston,
In reviewing the hdfury II @ hdfury.com according to the website the HDFury II is HDMI 1.1/1.2 compatable. I have a HD Fury III that is HDMI 1.3 compatable and works fine with a Oppo 83SE to an older Pioneer Elite PRO510 on VGA or Component. So it looks like there is a compatability problem between the HDFury II and you new oppo 93.
One reason I got the HDFURY III is that I first tried using the component video outputs from the Oppo 83se and found that the picture was not very good. It is a whole lot better using hdmi to the fury III.
