My experience with Blockbuster was never good. I abandoned them decades ago because they could never get their act together. I was often accused of not returning DVDs on time and they tried charging me late fees. I would often have to argue with them and get a manager involved. This happened at more than one Blockbuster location so I stopped renting from them. As far as I am concerned, they deserved their fate.
Follow Ups:
....I was an avid customer once till early 90's. One time we were late by 30 minutes, and asked the manager whether we would get a break since we were such good customers.
He gave us a condenscending lecture implying we were no good lazy bums asking for freebees.
I never rented from Blockbuster's since then.
They were the only game in town for us and now there is none. Selections for download are skimpy and mail delivery does not fit our lifestyle. From too much local competition to none. It sucks.
