Since our return, we have watched full screen content. As of today, lines have just about vanished and I have to intensely focus to see them.

Feel like I've dodged a bullet. I will look for a burnin and calibration disk for the future.

Burn In is mostly an antiquated urban legend. As your experience shows, your set actually suffered from Image Retention, which is short-term. I see it occasionally on my Panasonic plasma, but it's very, very faint, and goes away within a few minutes.
