No, expensive cabling isn't needed for a subwoofer. And save yourself some money by buying what you need from monoprice.com or bluejeanscable.com

sorry, no edit function for video asylum
see link for the cable I found, and they have others.
I live about 15 min local drive from their place, and wife is willing to pick it up.
bluejeans is waaay more expensive and describes a good Belden cable with higher quality termination compared to monoprice.
I live close to monoprice and another one I found by googling. The other company seems good, the phone advice was solid and correct and the cable is probably China manufactured AR cable with pretty nice looking outer coat and what seems to be sufficient.
My Roksan amp has 2 preamp outs, so I will be using one of them for my current system (2.1). The sub plate amp has stereo input and output (white-red). I believe a simple connection to one channel is sufficient for bass, or should I also use a Y connector there?
The other setup being installed will be using a Denon AVR 1913 which has a single output on the back for sub LFE.
