I agree, residential shipping services are much rougher on handling packages. Hopefully because they can see that it is TV display they will not bang it around so much. I would make sure that it is insured and check the outside of the box for damage when taking delivery and then hook it up and try all the main functions as soon as you can.

Stores generally receive inventory that have multiple boxes shrink wrapped on a pallet. They are usually sent via freight and the pallet is handled only with a fork lift or pallet jack. Shipping an individual box is somewhat more risky. With that said, in the past I've ordered two 32" flat screens from Amazon and had no problems. Delivery was fine and without damage. As long as the item is fully insured and you can get an RA with free shipping and your choice of replacement or refund you should be OK.
