Luckily (and HOPEFULLY) I have a lead on a replacement box (a good friend is an electronics store manager and carries the brand) or my othe roption is a used roadcase from the production company I used to work for (but that will still set me back $$$!).

I suggested to the wife that we place it between the mattress and box spring (much like you suggested), but since she's a bit of a germ-o-phobe, she wants the matt and box sealed in moving bags... Oh well, I wait this one out, as we aren't moving until the first week of June (soon, but not soon enough IMHO!)...
