I bought one of those Actiontec wireless HDMI units at Best Buy so I can play video from my PS3 to my projector and still have optical out from my PS3 into my DAC. Works pretty cool. I also dusted off the PS3 and installed their YouTube and Amazon video apps. Pretty cool. I was going to ask here if HDMI wireless transmitters existed but did a Google search instead to find out that they do. I am not a fan of Best Buy but my experience this last time in the store was actually pleasant.
Does anyone here use wireless HDMI as well? It is a nice invention.

I've got a couple of those I've been using for the past few months. One is for the projector and it's great for that. It means I don't need to run a 35 foot hdmi cable. The other one is hooked up to the bedroom dish joey (cable box) so I can watch tv anywhere in the house. Since it's a radio remote rather than infrared I just take the remote with me.
They work ok overall but they do have some reliability problems. I frequently end up unplugging/plugging them to get the connection established. Once they connect they're fine.
I think that technology will be everywhere pretty soon. I read recently of a projector that had wireless hdmi built in. It's a real no brainer for them.
Imagine how boring the internet would be if folks were as civil here as they are in person.
great, that's cool they are building them into Projectors now. Thanks for the reply. I did buy a 50 food HDMI cable and if that works ok I will use the wireless device I have for a cable box,to get the signal into two rooms over.
