I looked at the Energy package and 550t's and don't see any reason why you'd have to unplug your subwoofer. It should be plugged into your receiver's LFE or Sub Out where it will remain. All you would do is unplug the left/right Energy main satelites and then plug in the Polk to take their place. I recommend making sure the 550t has a matching center channel, maybe get it if you've been a really good boy, but if not in the budget you'd want to add it down the road in order to keep with seamless panning of sound across your front sound stage. Right now the Energy all match but when you insert the Polk they will not match sonically with the Energy. In addition, be sure to run your speaker auto set up, this will level match all the speakers and the EQ will minimize the sound difference between the Polk and Energy.
