The Samsung PNF8500 (60" model) is all over the place for about $1640. I doubt you'll do better for the money....

Problem is finding it for that price locally. There is great beauty in being able to simply take it back if something is not working... otherwise you may end up calling "Joe's Budget TV's" and talking to the answering machine.
