I heard the same thing from a Samsung rep. His claim Samsung wasn't ever going to go to OLED. I have no personal experience with OLED, but wasn't crazy about the last Sony TV I had so I went back to Samsung QLED Q7. So far I have been really happy. Picture is fantastic and I really like the OS and the way the apps work.
