I pulled the trigger on a new model year 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Limited. The under hood guts are pretty much the same but some body bits and other items have been refreshed for 2024 including improved seats, more insulation for quieter ride, and stiffer chassis and suspension tweaks.
I was concerned about the CVT but it 'feels' pretty much like most automatics including some fake shifts if you're accelerating. Will it last? Probably unless I drive it like a maniac. And the 2.5L 182 H.P. trims aren't THAT slow. They're not quick but I find it to be adequate. The Crosstrek rides surprisingly nice for a sub-compact and it's pretty quiet. It has a few missing features that I had in the previous vehicle but it gains some too.
The infotainment system coupled with Apple CarPlay is pretty slick. Some reviewers complain that it's slow but that hasn't been the case here. Maybe they've updated the CPU over the years? I don't know. The Harman-Kardon stereo is at least on par with the upgraded stereo I had in my previous vehicle so I'm happy with that.
I've had it for only a week so I'm still learning its features and quirks.

The Base and Premium trims get the smaller 2.0L 152HP engine.

Playing music - I had it on Shuffle
Apple Map or Google Map onscreen
One cool feature in the MySubaru phone App is
remote engine start with climate presets
You can choose to have the engine run for 5 minutes
or 10 minutes before it automatically shuts off.
