RE: Static in speakers

Is the speaker cable designed/shielded for long in-wall/ceiling runs? Issues like you describe can sometimes arise if the speaker cable is routed near electrical wiring or lighting. If you have some long lengths of speaker cable left you can try disconnecting the installed ones and hook up the loose cable outside the walls/ceiling and see if you get the same issues.

Also, I don't know if your source is part of your receiver? If not, there could be an issue with the source's right channel. Reverse the left/right interconnects to see if the problem follows.
