  Le Trou is more suspenseful (love the ending), but overall I think A Man Escaped is slightly better...Doug

    Do you mean the J. Becker´s film?
    Well that is too long ago for comparing I would have to see it again, even if in my memory it remain at the top.
    From my instinct I would not compare them, now I could not underline why.
    
    But I would agree with Tin....

    The Pickpocket, there is far more below the surface. To even contemplate comparing it to a usual escape film is to have missed the essence of it. Look again.
