Difficult for me to follow but I'm very glad I finally watched this classic. I loved the serious tone and dialogue and the sense that there are bigger things going on, but what?! Richard Burton was excellent as well.

I have A Man Escaped coming tomorrow so I am in for another treat I am sure.

Another one you have to see several times fully to understand. Michael Caine's performance is brilliant.

    I thought they'd cover the older classics such as that!
    Disgraceful.
    It really is a spectacular, genre-revolutionizing film. Many fine actors at the top of their game and a brilliantly complex and entertaining plot.
