Name your fave. The brawnier and sweatier the better.

I'm going with Gladiator 2.

The legendary Roger Corman does it again.
Even better than Women in Prison movies IMHO ;-)

A popular clip!

I'm more of an old classics fan - aside from the numerous Steve Reeves movies. . . , posted on March 24, 2025 at 01:34:52

. . . I guess my favorite would be Jason and the Argonauts. Medea's dance to Hekate was about as good as it got in mainstream movies from that time (1963) for a 14-year-old with raging hormones. Tip of the hat to actress Nancy Kovack! I mean, where would gladiator movies be without the dancing girls?

Here's the 4-minute clip from which this still was taken:

It's a favorite of mine as well.

Have you seen Hercules in the Haunted World (Mario Bava, 1961)? Reg Park is the lead. Christopher Lee is the villain.
See trailer at link.

(I somehow found the complete movie on YouTube.)

Definitely up my alley!

I saw all the toga epics, tragically dubbed, in the '50s and '60s. I was easily amused, especially by Nancy and the other sultry ladies of the day.

Too bad Italy doesn't crank out those epics any longer.

I think SNL or SCTV (or both) did great parodies of the dubbing in gladiator movies. ;-)
