Hi,
I thought (about a million years ago), that the first films to use an abuse subplot were very artsy. It's been done. Now it's just sickening. The wife loved it; and I must confess, I loved the way the filmaker made marigolds a central part of the film. There was much to enjoy, I did a strenous bike ride the day before, and was tired and cranky all day. That most likely colored my perception. Bet you never thought you'd see the day, where I said you were right.
