I'm really tired of splatter, but Evil Dead I and II are great!

Used to like Peter Jacksson's movies; Braindead and Bad Taste.
A lot of zombiemovies are cute. I like Night Of The Living Dead (the original), Dawn Of The Dead and Zombi a.k.a. Zombie Flesheaters (I think).
