The wife & I LOVED the Spidey flick as did the rest of the audience (i.e., there was moderate applause at the end, which is a rarity at most movies and a sure-fire indicator of a hit!).Lucas has a lot to answer for after introducing that obnoxious character Jar-Jar Binks, hiring the sappy kid (i.e., who's name eludes me) over Haley Joe Osment and other stupid aspects of Episode I, but we'll see. So far, my bets are on Spidey and MIB II as big summer hits, but I'm sure that there'll be more.
