(The true story of Martin Gray, a Polish survivor of the holocaust, from how he survived the German invasion, how got captured, and how he fought back with the rebels, to his life in the Soviet army, and the building of his new life in North America.)summary written by Steve Richer on www.imdb.com. (Gotta take someone's summary, I'm a french canadian and english is my 3th language.)
some user comments:
1. phenominal, I would give it 11 stars no matter what
2. the best
3. Almost unbelievable tale of the drive to survive
4. Best 2nd World War Film everBecause of its similar plot, I tought this is the film i'm looking for, but it turned out to be another lost classic that I forget I have seen.
What a shame, only 39 review on IMDB, that means almost nobody knows the existence of this classic, one of the greatest films ever made. Gotta wake up guys, there's other films beside those from Hollywood.
Europa Europa and Red Cherry are others classic WW2 films. Not in the same league, but Stalingrad and Soldier of Orange are good too. (not Soldier of fortune). Now I going try to find that film I was searching for, first... by myselft.
