The film seems to have been released just before, the most popular film depicting the condition of the returning soldier, "The Best Years of Our Lives", and it was directed by Edward Dymytrk, who shortly became one of the infamous, and blacklisted, "Hollywood Ten".
No wonder it was buried!!!Here's a link...
