Just watched part of Count of Monte Cristo DVD last nite. It sort of resembled the book, but not closely. WTF? Before that, I watched the Lord of the Rings, with its several pointless plot changes (they didn't make the story any better, so why the changes?).I know there is such a thing as "artistic license", but come on now. If you're going to film a classic work of literature, such as the Count of Monte Cristo, stick to the story. That's a big reason that many of us go to see these films.
