Hey,The wife and I saw it last night and it was terrible. I've been a James Bond fan every since I saw "The Spy Who Loved Me", and I rather like Brosnan as Bond, but this film just sucked.
1. The plot (as if they ever did make sense) was retarded. I don't want to ruin the film for anyone, but I walked out wondering "what the hell was that about?"
2. TURN THE SOUND DOWN! The theater in Rockville had their system turned to "11" and it was deafening, almost to the point of walking out. Explosions and bullets whizzing past your head are fun, but not when you can barely stand watching a film without putting your hands over your ears.
3. The Bond audience has changed. There were more little kids in the audience with their parents and young teenage girls than I ever remember seeing at a Bond film. Perhaps, I am just getting old.
4. The bad guys are not scary, convincing, clever, funny, etc...
Hell, I liked Drax in Moonraker better than these clowns.
The only bright spot was a great scene with Moneypenny and Bond, but I'll leave that one alone.
Oh, and Halle Berre looked amazing in the Cuba section. She's a total babe, but the one-liners were so lame.
