When I watch a movie, I don't want to see ANY commercials aired between openning & closing credits. Since a portion of everyone's Direct View satelite or cable bill goes to the classic movie channels like AMC and Turner (& Fox, which I won't watch on principle) they should be able to provide programming as intended, complete and without breaks, the way the feature films were originally shown. Unfortunately, competition for product has made acquisition of older classic movies a commodity that AMC apparently isn't financially equipped to handle. Since the competition owns vast in-house libraries dating back to the silents it forces AMC to rely a great deal more on repetition of recent features, "B" movies and foreign films, often with mediocre content, which in turn has reduced AMC to seeking commercial sponsors just to remain in business.AuPh
