I would say he was just a guy who LOVED movies (at least the way he was portrayed in the film). The look of awe on Ed's face as he's shooting his own crap, is just priceless. It's like a little kid who is just amazed at everything.This film just draws me in every time. My wife just rolls her eyes every time she sees I'm watching it (same with a lot of Woody Allen movies). I think Depp may be one of our best young actors, although he's made some sub-par stuff. Have you seen Donnie Brasco or What's Eating Gilbert Grape?- other good performances from him.
